About

Hello and thank you for visiting Shasta County Real Estate Guide! My name is Jennifer and I live here in the beautiful North State. I want you to get to know me and what I want to accomplish with this site. Look at this site as your guide for Shasta County.

But first, a little bit about me. I’ve been in Redding, California since 1999. Born and raised in the Bay Area. I am a licensed Real Estate Broker and have been in real estate for over 15 years. I’ve been through some ups and downs in this profession, so during challenging times I had increased my knowledge of technology, since that seems to be where we’re all headed. I also have a certification in Short Sales and Foreclosure Resources (SFR).

I’ve been married to a wonderfully patient man for almost ten years. I want to emphasize patience because he had to endure the difficulties I was going through during uncertain times in my career. I have three beautiful children, a daughter who graduated from CSU Monterey Bay, a teenage son who is going to be a Junior in High School in the fall, and another daughter who is going to be a third grader (she’s my little peanut).

I enjoy cooking and wine tasting. I also have a blog of my own personal recipes and wine reviews, so check them out if you’re hungry for some Asian style cooking :) .

Two important aspects that I want to cover in this site: 1) Our Real Estate Market: What’s going on in our market? What lending programs are available? What are the options to avoid foreclosure? What is being done to help stabilize the economy? These important topics I will be discussing on this site. 2) Our Local Area Businesses: As Clark Howard says, “consumers are more likely to base their decision on a “true” review”, so sharing my local business reviews with the readers, I hope, will help with their decision. And perhaps, if they’re good reviews, it will help that business thrive. If they’re not so great, perhaps a constructive review will help the owner of the business improve. Note to business owners: If you find a negative review, please take that in stride and feel free to ask me to re-review your business (although, I won’t tell you when I’m visiting ;) ).

One of my goals are to educate homeowners who may be wondering what to do in their particular situation. Whatever the case may be, whether you’re upside-down on your home, facing foreclosure or need to sell, there are several options, some of you may not know about. Obviously, every situation is different, what may be a good option for one, may not be for another. If you would like to discuss your particular situation confidentially, send me an email, I’ll do whatever I can to help guide you.

-Jennifer
